After all Elgton Jenkins Jersey , it is the only major football league on the globe. And, let’s just say that football is a rare sport that involves two things fans everywhere love to watch. The first aspect is physicality. While sports like hockey and lacrosse certainly have a robust physical side to them, they can’t be compared to football. On a football field, most plays can only stop when someone is brought down to the ground, which is often done through violent tackles. Of course, turnovers and scores are other ways to end a play, but that is beside the point. The second aspect that attracts sports fans to football is the beauty of the game. Yes, despite being one of the sports that takes the heftiest physical toll on its athletes, there is a beauty to football that is seldom found in other games. The strategy and skill required to play this game are sometimes otherworldly. But even as those traits inside the field are enough to entertain millions of fans around the world, there is another side to football that is as entertaining as it gets. The best part about it is that it originates from the fans themselves. Aren’t we glad that we have the Internet these days? Aren’t we glad that we have a way to give people an opportunity to make memes about the ridiculous things that happen to NFL teams and players? Yeah, we are glad for those. And we separated 15 savage NFL memes that you will love and know have some truth to them. TAMPA http://www.packerscheapshoponline.com/cheap-authentic-jace-sternberger-jersey , Fla. (AP) — Jameis Winston or Ryan Fitzpatrick. It doesn’t seem to matter who’s playing quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Turnovers and a leaky defense are hindering the team’s chances of being successful. The Bucs (3-7) have dropped seven of eight games following a 2-0 start, vacillating back and forth between Winston and Fitzpatrick, who’ve played well enough at times that Tampa Bay leads the NFL in passing yards and total offense. The quarterbacks have also been turnover-prone, with their mistakes compounded by a porous defense that not only has yielded a league-high 329 points but hasn’t forced a turnover in the past seven games.Coach Dirk Koetter, who has not announced who’ll start this week against the San Francisco 49ers, conceded Monday that the team’s turnover differential of minus-23 through 10 games is a mind-boggling statistic.“It’s boggling on both ends. That we have that few takeaways and that many giveaways. It’s a ridiculous number to have the disparity be that much,” Koetter said Monday.“What’s even crazier is we play a team coming up this week that has one fewer takeaway than we do,” the coach added. “It seems impossible. But it is a fact (although) they don’t have as many turnovers as we do.”Koetter changed quarterbacks for the third time this season, benching Fitzpatrick during Sunday’s 38-35 loss to the New York Giants.Winston, benched last month after throwing four interceptions in a loss at Cincinnati, entered the game after Fitzpatrick was picked off three times in falling behind 24-7 and led touchdown drives on four consecutive possessions.Koetter said Monday he’d made a decision on which quarterback will start Sunday’s home game against San Francisco Dexter Williams Jersey , but he did not want to announce it because he had not yet talked to Winston and Fitzpatrick individually.“Even though I know what we’re going to do, I’m not going to be able to say it today because I would never tell the media before I told the quarterbacks themselves,” Koetter said. The 35-year-old Fitzpatrick began the season as the starter while Winston, the No. 1 overall pick from the 2015 draft, was serving a three-game suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.Since topping 400 yards passing in back-to-back wins over New Orleans and Philadelphia, Fitzpatrick has lost five consecutive starts. Winston is 1-2 as a starter this season and also has played twice in relief of Fitzpatrick. The common denominator in the team’s seven losses is the team has fallen behind early and been unable to escape double-digit deficits. In wins over the Saints, Eagles and Cleveland Browns, the Bucs led most of the way before holding on at the end.“Almost every game we get some beautiful, beautiful play at quarterback. Some tremendous throws, good decision-making, some beautiful adjustments Nick Bosa Jersey ,” Koetter said. “But at other times we have some bad decision-making that result in turnovers. That’s hurting our team.”Although the coach did not confirm whether Winston performed well enough against the Giants to reclaim the starting job, Koetter acknowledged the fourth-year pro “played better” and “for the most part made good decisions with the football.”“Our quarterback play in general has been spectacular at times and not good enough at times,” the coach said. “That’s just the story of where we’re at on offense right now.”Fitzpatrick said after Sunday’s game that he was proud of the way Winston led the team back against the Giants.“It’s not easy to not have any preparation and be working with the scout team and get thrown in there during the middle of the game,” Fitzpatrick said.Winston, meanwhile, would not speculate on who might start against the 49ers.“I’m worried about finding a way to win our last six games. … I don’t have that much control over that, but my play can speak for me,” Winston said. “That’s the only thing I can control, and I’m going to do my best … if I get the opportunity.”

Atlanta Falcons Josh Oliver Jersey , the team said late Wednesday after reaching an agreement to renegotiate the star receiver’s contract next year.General manager Thomas Dimitroff announced the compromise about 16 hours ahead of Thursday’s 4 p.m. reporting deadline, removing a major distraction hanging over a team that is again expected to be one of the top contenders in the NFC.”We have had continued dialogue all offseason with Julio and his representation,” Dimitroff said. ”We have come to an agreement with Julio, and we will readdress everything in 2019. I appreciate everyone’s hard work and communication on this.”The Falcons had informed Jones several weeks ago that they wouldn’t be able to renegotiate his current $71.5 million package, which still has three years remaining and included $47 million in guaranteed money.Jones, who makes an average of $14.25 million a year, was unhappy with his deal after a flurry of new contracts during the offseason dropped Jones down the list of the NFL’s highest-paid receivers.Tampa Bay’s Mike Evans , Cleveland’s Jarvis Landry and Kansas City’s Sammy Watkins are among those now making more per year than Jones, a two-time All-Pro and five-time Pro Bowler who caught 88 passes for 1,444 yards last season.Jones skipped offseason workouts at the team’s training facility as well as a mandatory minicamp to demonstrate his unhappiness. His next option was to hold out during training camp http://www.jaguarscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-quincy-williams-ii-jersey , which could have led to fines of $40,000 per day.Neither side wanted to go down a path that could’ve damaged what has otherwise been a good relationship. So, it looks as though Jones will get a new deal in 2019 – not as soon as he would’ve liked, but a year earlier than the Falcons would normally agree to renegotiate a long-term contract.Atlanta is eager to pair Jones with another former Alabama receiver, Calvin Ridley, who was this year’s first-round pick. The team hopes that Ridley, as he develops, can help to lure coverages away from Jones, who is often blanketed by two or three defenders. The Falcons said salary cap limitations prevented them from discussing a new deal with Jones in 2018 . The team already agreed to a five-year, $150 million extension with quarterback Matt Ryan Ryquell Armstead Jersey , the most lucrative deal in NFL history, and is now focused on working out new contracts for defensive tackle Grady Jarrett, offensive guard Jake Matthews and safety Ricardo Allen.”This adjustment does not impede us from working on other extensions with other key members of our football team,” Dimitroff said. ”We will continue to work on those contracts going forward.”Jones hasn’t talked with the Atlanta media in months, keeping a low profile during the contract brouhaha. In one of his rare public appearances, he told TMZ that he has a good relationship with the franchise that pulled off a blockbuster trade with Cleveland to make him a first-round pick in 2011.”I’m just working on getting myself better,” he said. ”There’s no bad blood between me and the team or anything like that.”Jones hasn’t been totally estranged from his teammates during the offseason. This month, he took part in Ryan’s private passing camp in California along with about a dozen of his teammates. All throughout the contract talks, Jones remained in the good graces of coach Dan Quinn.”Sometimes football and business intersect,” Quinn said after Jones skipped the three-day minicamp. ”That’s OK and that happens a lot.”— There was little doubt from the moment he became a first-round pick. There is no doubt now.Rookie first-rounder Garrett Bradbury will become the Vikings’ starting center.“Oh yeah http://www.jaguarscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-gardner-minshew-ii-jersey , that is where he’s going to be, and hopefully he will stay there for a long time,” Vikings assistant head coach and offensive adviser Gary Kubiak said recently, via Sid Hartman of the .Immediately after the Vikings selected Bradbury with the 18th overall pick, some thought that Bradbury would play guard, and that Pat Elflein would remain at center. It has since become clear that Bradbury will indeed play center, and that Elflein will move.“He is doing great,” Kubiak said of Bradbury. “For a rookie to be put in there at center from Day One, it’s hard on him. But he is doing a good job.”Elflein seems to be doing well, too.“Pat has moved over to left guard and been a big-time pro Marquise Brown Jersey , stepped in there and working really hard,” Kubiak said. “The guys are working good together.”The Vikings are revamping their offensive scheme, embracing Kubiak’s zone blocking running attack that requires offensive linemen who can move, not simply push. And if it helps the Vikings move the ball on the ground better than they did in 2018, the Vikings could be back in the postseason when January rolls around.

The flashback for the Dallas Cowboys was just as disheartening as the original.Byard mimicked Terrell Owens’ mocking celebration on the star logo at the 50-yard line from 18 years ago Will Grier Jersey , Marcus Mariota accounted for three touchdowns and the Titans spoiled Amari Cooper‘s Dallas debut with a 28-14 victory on Monday night. The end-zone pick of Dak Prescott came after Mariota fumbled on the first two Tennessee possessions. Just as T.O. did at old Texas Stadium 18 years ago, Byard ran to midfield, under the huge videoboard at spacious AT&T Stadium, and spread his arms.Owens did it twice in a blowout San Francisco win over a bad Dallas team that time. This win by the Titans (4-4) ended their three-game losing streak while handing the Cowboys (3-5) their first loss in four home games and making their road to the playoffs a difficult one.“It was huge,” Mariota said of Byard, while adding that he didn’t see the celebration. “The defense has done an unbelievable job throughout the year in building us up. They found ways to give us plays, to get turnovers.”The Cowboys looked like the team headed for a blowout win, but led just 7-0 after Mariota’s early miscues because of Brett Maher‘s missed 38-yard field goal on the opening possession and Prescott’s ill-advised throw into double coverage.“That was the difference. Simple as that,” said Prescott, who lost a fumble at his 40-yard line to set up Tennessee’s tiebreaking score in the third quarter. “Defense gives a turnover there. We’re up seven points and I go down there and try to force the ball and give it right back to them.”Cooper scored the first Dallas touchdown after DeMarcus Lawrence stripped the ball from Mariota . The two-time Pro Bowl receiver finished with five catches for 58 yards after coming over from Oakland in a trade for a first-round pick during the open week.Given another chance when what would have been a third straight fumble to start the game was overturned by a review that showed Luke Stocker didn’t have the ball long enough on a catch, Mariota led an 80-yard drive capped by Derrick Henry‘s 1-yard plunge for a 7-7 tie.Mariota converted two third-and-9s with passes and a shorter third down with a run on his first TD drive, setting the stage for the Titans to convert 11 of 14 third downs. The Cowboys fell flat in 15-year tight end Jason Witten’s first trip home since retiring to become lead analyst for “Monday Night Football.”Dallas had just 108 yards in the second half ? the bulk of those on a desperation drive down two scores late ? and was booed several times at the end of failed drives. After getting sacked on third down with nobody realizing Tennessee had called timeout in a 7-7 game in the second quarter http://www.panthersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-christian-miller-jersey , Mariota completed a 36-yarder to Darius Jennings before a screen pass to Dion Lewis went 18 yards for a touchdown.Mariota broke a 14-14 tie in the third quarter when he pulled the ball out of Lewis’ gut at the last second and delivered a 7-yard shovel pass to Jonnu Smith to put the Titans ahead for good. Mariota’s 9-yard scoring run all but sealed things with 4:38 to go.Mariota was 21 of 29 for 240 yards without an interception and had 32 yards rushing. Lewis had 62 yards rushing and 60 receiving coming off a career-high 155 scrimmage yards in his last game.Star Dallas running back Ezekiel Elliott finished with 61 yards after a hot start. Prescott was 21 of 31 for 243 yards and two scores ? 4 yards to Cooper and 23 yards to Allen Hurns. The two turnovers were Prescott’s first at home this season.T.O. FLASHBACKThere was something else familiar about Byard’s celebration: a Dallas defender trying to do something about it.George Teague famously knocked Owens off the star back then, and Cowboys cornerback Byron Jones made a similar move on Byard and the group that joined the celebration. Owens seemed to get a kick out of the whole thing on Twitter.“I was actually expecting somebody to knock my head off,” said Byard, who thought about the possible celebration at the team hotel. “I was like, ‘If we get to the 50, if we get enough guys to the 50, we are just going to start dancing on the star.'”WITTEN TRIBUTEThe Cowboys paid tribute to Witten with a pregame video on the giant board hanging over the field. The franchise leader in games, catches and yards receiving wiped his eyes when a small inset of him was shown during the video, but seemed to have gained his composure when he was shown on the full screen. Witten waved, smiled and tapped his chest around his heart several times as the crowd roared.INJURIESDallas LB Sean Lee pulled up with a hamstring injury while trying to cover Smith on a 26-yard completion to the Titans tight end. Lee didn’t return. … Titans WR Taywan Taylor left with what coach Mike Vrabel said was a lower leg injury.UP NEXTTitans: Home against AFC East-leading New England next Sunday.Cowboys: At Philadelphia next Sunday in the first meeting with the NFC East rival. ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) — The Detroit Lions have many players, along with their general manager and coach Jordan Scarlett Jersey , with ties to the New England Patriots.Jermaine Kearse, in a sense, is no exception. The veteran receiver had one of the most memorable catches in a Super Bowl in 2016 while playing for the Seattle Seahawks against New England when Matt Patricia was its defensive coordinator. He made a 33-yard acrobatic catch after the ball bounced off his body four times with 1:06 left to put Seattle in position for a go-ahead touchdown, but the Patriots held on to win.“Kind of joked about it a little bit, but quickly moved on,” said Patricia, who in his second season as Detroit’s coach. “Great, little tie-in to our history together, which is fun.”Kearse has 255 career catches for 3,290 yards and 17 touchdowns, but he’s coming his worst season since 2013. He had 37 receptions for 371 yards last year for the New York Jets.“It was just an unfortunate year,” Kearse said. “We had some changes and things just didn’t work out. I’m ready to just move and be able to get back on the field and show what I can do and what I did two years ago.”With the Jets in 2017 David Montgomery Jersey , Kearse reached career highs in catches (65) and yards receiving (810) while matching his best season with five touchdowns. The former Washington star earned a spot on Seattle’s team as an undrafted rookie in 2012 and started 51 games for the franchise under offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, who is in his first season with the Lions.“Looking over the playbook just kind of refreshed my memory,” Kearse said. “A lot of things I’m able to pick up pretty quickly.”The Lions addressed a need earlier in the offseason, signing Danny Amendola, to become the slot receiver they missed after trading Golden Tate during last season to Philadelphia. On the third and final day of mandatory minicamp, they added depth by signing Kearse and releasing Jordan Smallwood. If Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones can bounce back from injury-shortened seasons, Matthew Stafford may have four solid options to throw to at wide receiver thanks to the addition of Kearse.“He’s played a lot of meaningful football in this league and has done some really great things,” Stafford said. “He has some history with Bevell. I was on the same page sometimes with him and not on the same page other times. It was our first practice. He was just thrown in there and was rolling with it.”

EAST RUTHERFORD http://www.jacksonvillejaguarsteamonline.com/jawaan-taylor-jersey , N.J. (AP) — Eli Manning and a couple potential starters for the defense in their first NFL draft with three first-round picks. The Giants stunned many at the NFL draft by taking quarterback Daniel Jones of Duke at sixth overall, before selecting Clemson tackle Dexter Lawrence with the 17th pick overall and grabbing Georgia cornerback Deandre Baker with a late trade with Seattle for the 30th selection overall.“It’s a wonderful thing when needs met value,” general manager Dave Gettleman said after the round. In the weeks leading up to the draft, many prognosticators felt the Giants would fill the defensive needs with the sixth pick and then turn their attention to quarterback at No. 17, the pick they got from Cleveland by trading wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., perhaps targeting Dwayne Haskins of Ohio State or Drew Lock of Missouri.Gettleman had other thoughts. He first took Jones, who threw for 8,201 yards and 52 touchdowns in three years starting for Duke after joining the program as a walk-on.“We drafted a quarterback who we feel is a franchise quarterback,” Gettleman said, saying he had a strong conviction about Jones since the Senior Bowl and he was not going to risk losing him by waiting until No. 17.New York grabbed the 342-pound Lawrence with the second choice in the round and then made a late trade getting Baker, who won the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation’s best defensive back last year.New York sent three picks to Seattle, a second rounder (No. 37), a fourth rounder (No. 132) and a fifth rounder (No. 142).New York failed to get a pass rusher. They do not have a second-round pick and won’t pick again until No. 95 overall, late in the third round. They also need a safety and an offensive tackle.Jones probably will spend his first season being an understudy for Manning http://www.jacksonvillejaguarsteamonline.com/gardner-minshew-ii-jersey , who is now 38 and in the final year of his $84 million contract.Gettleman spoke with Manning after making the pick and told him: “It’s your job, let’s roll.”Jones said he would be comfortable learning from Manning.“Physically, I think I can make every throw on the field,” said Jones, who also ran for 1,323 yards and 17 touchdowns in his college career. “My accuracy is a strength of mine and I have the athleticism to extend plays. I play outside the pocket if I need to. Physically, I can do both those things well.”Jones was developed by David Cutcliffe, the same coach who groomed both Peyton and Eli Manning in college.Jones said he needs to improve his understanding of when to throw the ball away or dump it off to a back. Before the draft, Gettleman said he was in favor of using the Kansas City model in developing a new quarterback. The Chiefs hit a jackpot with Patrick Mahomes, letting him learn under Alex Smith until giving him the starting job last season. The general manager even noted Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers waited three years before replacing Brett Favre. The Giants, who had won eight games in the past two years, have made the playoffs once since winning the Super Bowl in February 2012.Lawrence is massive in the middle, much like Snacks Harrison, who New York traded to Detroit during last season. While Lawrence was a force in the middle for the national champions http://www.losangelesramsteamonline.com/darrell-henderson-jersey , Gettleman said he can be a pass rusher, noting a foot injury slowed him the past two seasons.Lawrence was suspended for last season’s College Football Playoff for failing an NCAA test for performance-enhancing drugs. He said Thursday night he was innocent. Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said in February that it’s possible the team could have unknowingly given him a supplement with the drug, though the school and NCAA were investigating.“I feel like my game is very powerful, a smart player, non-quit effort kind of guy,”Lawrence said. “That’s just my mindset every play, and how I want to attack every snap.”Baker is steady, tough and disruptive. He also did not give up a touchdown catch in the last two seasons.“The last guy we traded up for we feel was the best cover corner in the draft,” Gettleman said. When asked about having two interceptions last season, Baker said it’s hard to get picks when opposing quarterbacks don’t test him. EAGAN, Minn. ? When you get him, he’s special.”Though Latavius Murray has 439 total yards and five touchdowns over the past five games, Cook’s return will be vital toward continuing the revival of a running game that ranks 28th in the league with an average of 91.7 yards per game. The Vikings (5-3-1) play at NFC North-leading Chicago (6-3) on Sunday night in a game for control of the division. That’s one of three games over the next four for the Vikings that will be on the road and outdoors in northern cities.“I do think with some of these games as it starts to get colder, it is going to be more of a factor,” coach Mike Zimmer said. “I think we’re getting better at a lot of the areas in the running game. We have to continue searching for more ways to pound the ball.”When Cook was healthy in the season opener against San Francisco, the Vikings had 116 rushing yards. They then went four straight games with fewer than 20 rushing attempts and 77 rushing yards or fewer, until Murray produced a 155-yard performance on 24 carries in a victory over Arizona on Oct. 14 .Cook and Murray combined for 120 rushing yards against the Lions. The Vikings have averaged 124 rushing yards over the past four games, up from 65.8 yards per game on the ground over the first five weeks.“He has got a chance to hit home runs,” Zimmer said of Cook. “I think it was really good for him to get out there and get some game time action. When you haven’t played in six weeks and you haven’t practiced all that much http://www.newyorkgiantsteamonline.com/dexter-lawrence-jersey , I think he will continue to get better.”The Vikings also claimed running back Ameer Abdullah last week after he was waived by the Lions. Abdullah, a second-round draft pick in 2015, only appeared in three games this year and carried the ball once. He averaged 3.8 yards per attempt in three seasons as the primary ball carrier, when he wasn’t injured, before being replaced by rookie Kerryon Johnson this season.“I’m entering a backfield with a lot of talent, Dalvin, we have Latavius and all the guys who’ve been here,” Abdullah said after practice on Monday. “Just coming in today and seeing these guys welcome me the way they have has been amazing for me. It does a lot for my confidence. It does a lot for my focus.”Abdullah will also be an option as a kickoff returner.“I’m ready to work,” he said. “Anything the Vikings ask me to do, I’m willing to do just because I’m so appreciative of the opportunity.”

The Cardinals remain committed to keeping their intentions for the first overall pick quiet Kendall Sheffield Jersey , possibly at the behest of the league office or possibly because they like being the center of attention, for a change. But the signs continue to point to the Cardinals taking quarterback Kyler Murray with that No. 1 overall selection. Rosen genuinely seems to be in the dark regarding his status continues to be the most compelling evidence that Rosen will be supplanted by Murray. If Murray isn’t the pick, the damage being done to Rosen’s standing within the organization will be hard to undo. Other players will look at him differently, always wondering whether he’s the guy they should be unconditionally following or whether it’s just a matter of time before he’ll be benched or traded. And if players can’t fully embrace the player who is supposed to lead them, the players necessarily won’t have the leader they need. Here’s another signal that, for now, indicates that Murray will be the guy: He has agreed to go to Nashville for the draft. If he didn’t believe he’d be the first overall pick at a time when so many expect it to be him, would he walk into the embarrassment that necessarily would flow from sitting there in the green room while someone else becomes the first person to make the walk across the stage for a bear hug with Roger Goodell?Murray will know before the draft whether he’s the pick, thanks to the relationship between agent Erik Burkhardt and the Cardinals. Burkhardt represents Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury, and Burkhardt helped Kingsbury navigate a contractual minefield out of USC and into the job he now has. Kingsbury will know what the Cardinals are going to do, Kingsbury will tell Burkhardt, and Burkhardt will tell Murray. So if Murray follows through on his non-binding agreement to attend the draft, he’s the guy. If he cancels (in the same way he canceled his trip to D.C.), he’s not. With so few sure things entering this year’s draft, that may be the only one. Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Joe Haden will miss his fifth straight game with a fractured left leg, meaning rookie Cameron Sutton will make his first career start against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Haden practiced this week and hoped he would be able to return. Instead the Steelers will turn to Sutton, a third-round pick. Pittsburgh will have rookie wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster, who was limited during the week with a hamstring injury. The Patriots will be without defensive lineman Alan Branch, who is inactive with a knee injury. New England also made wide receiver Chris Hogan inactive because of a shoulder injury. Starting middle linebacker Bobby Wagner is active for the Seattle Seahawks in their NFC West showdown with the Los Angeles Rams despite a hamstring injury. Wagner was listed as questionable on the final injury report, but went through pregame warmups with his fellow linebackers about two hours before kickoff and appeared to be moving without restriction. The star running back slept soundly after finally making his long-awaited decision on where to restart his NFL career Ugo Amadi Jersey , agreeing to a four-year, $52.5 million deal from the New York Jets early Wednesday morning and officially signing Thursday.“The Jets were kind of the team I had in the back of my mind where I wanted to go,” Bell said during a conference call. “So, you know, once the numbers made sense to me, it wasn’t really a hard decision. I made the decision and I’m happy with the decision I made.“Today, I woke up feeling amazing. So, I’m happy with where I stand.”The deal, which reportedly includes $25 million in guarantees, had some wondering if he might have made a mistake by sitting out all last season after declining a five-year, $70 million offer from the Steelers and then refusing to sign his $14.5 million franchise tender.Bell gambled on himself and took a chance — one he’s content with, regardless of whether some think he overplayed his hand and shortchanged himself.“The decision I made is the decision I would do all over again,” Bell said. “I don’t regret anything that happened. Everything has happened for a reason up until this point. Who’s to say if I played last year, if I do go out there and play on a one-year franchise tag and I do get hurt, do I end up in this position today, being with the New York Jets on a beautiful deal?“Even on the other side of it, if I go out there and play on the franchise tag and I get another 400 carries … and I come out of the season healthy, who’s to say what team is going to take me after another 400 carries? So, like I said, I’ve contemplated everything I’ve done. … I don’t regret one thing. I’m happy where I’m at and the decision I made and I’m glad I’m here.”After all Devin White Jersey , Bell had dreams of being a member of the Jets as a kid.He grew up in Groveport, Ohio, in a house full of Steelers fans, but his favorite player was Jets running back Curtis Martin. From afar, he wanted to be just like Martin, a playmaker out of the backfield who could change games in an instant on his way to a Hall of Fame career.Turns out, Bell has carved out quite an impressive career of his own. He rushed for 5,336 yards and 35 touchdowns in five seasons for Pittsburgh, and caught 312 passes for 2,660 yards and seven scores as one of the most versatile and dangerous offensive players in the NFL. His 128.9 yards from scrimmage per game over his career is the best mark in the NFL since the 1970 merger. And, now, he’ll be able to get back on the field and make his mark for the team Martin once carried.“When the season ended, it was kind of like all the stars kind of aligned to the Jets,” Bell said. “I’m glad we made it happen and everything worked out.”Oh, and those comments over a year ago when Bell shot down a fan who jokingly offered him $60 million to play for the Jets, or when he said during last year’s Super Bowl that it would take $100 million for him to come to New York?Well, that was then.“I mean, that was just me being on Twitter and TMZ talking,” Bell said with a chuckle. “That’s all that was. The situation I’m in right now, I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world.”Bell’s arrival comes at a time when the Jets are building around second-year quarterback Sam Darnold L.J. Collier Jersey , who showed promise as a rookie as well as the typical ups and downs young signal callers deal with early in their careers. But Bell, like many others, saw some promise in Darnold — and is excited about helping the youngster grow and thrive — and win — in the NFL.“I’m just looking forward to coming in and being, you know, sort of his security blanket, a guy he can rely on,” said Bell, who acknowledged that Darnold was “absolutely” a major factor in his decision.“I’m going to do everything in my power to try to make his job as easy as possible,” Bell added. “Seeing a guy like him, so young and so talented and knowing, maybe he needs another weapon. You never know what he can do with another weapon.”That’s where Bell comes in. As soon as he shakes off the rust, of course.“The fact that I took last year off, it sucked having to watch and not play football,” Bell said. “But at the same time, at the end of December and through January and February, it’s the best my body’s feeling ever in my life. There’s nothing that can even come close to compare to how I feel.”He hasn’t played an NFL game since Pittsburgh’s playoff loss to Jacksonville on Jan. 14, 2018. That means it will be a span of 19 months in between game appearances by the time the preseason begins in August.“Things that count, I’ll be ready for that,” Bell said. “I’ve been playing football my whole life, so it’s something that kind of comes natural to me Johnathan Abram Jersey , but obviously not having done it at a full competitive level for over a year, so it’s going to take minicamp and OTAs and practices to get right, but I’ve got plenty of time until the regular season starts.” LANDOVER, Md. (AP) — Justin Reid intercepted the ball in the end zone and saw nothing but green grass in front of him.“I saw the daylight and I have to hit it,” Reid said. “I wasn’t going to let anyone stop me.”No one’s stopping the Houston Texans right now.Article continues below ...Reid’s 101-yard interception return touchdown was the big play Houston needed to overcome a mistake-prone Deshaun Watson and beat the Washington Redskins 23-21 on Sunday, tying the franchise record with their seventh consecutive victory. From a gruesome , season-ending injury to Redskins quarterback Alex Smith to three turnovers, it wasn’t pretty, but the Texans (7-3) became the first team since the 1925 New York Giants to win seven in a row after starting 0-3.“With this team, you never know where the play’s going to come from,” defensive end J.J. Watt said. “You never know who’s going to make it — offense, defense, special teams — but you’ve got to find a way. For the seventh time, we found a way.”While Watson was 16 of 24 for 208 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions, Smith broke his right tibia and fibula on a sack by Kareem Jackson midway through the third quarter and will require surgery. Smith’s right leg turned the wrong way in eerily similar fashion to Joe Theismann’s broken leg on a Lawrence Taylor sack exactly 33 years ago to the day.“I know it was very painful for him and heartbreaking for a lot of people,” Redskins coach Jay Gruden said. “He’s a great guy and hard worker and one of the key leaders on this football team. These things happen in pro football, unfortunately. Just hate to see them happen with a guy like Alex.”Colt McCoy replaced Smith and threw for a touchdown pass and led a long scoring drive for Washington (6-4), which likely will have to rely on the journeyman quarterback the rest of the way. When a McCoy-led drive finished with an Adrian Peterson touchdown to put the Redskins up 21-20 early in the fourth quarter, it was the first lead change in a game involving the Redskins all season.“You pray for opportunities to get to play Maxx Crosby Jersey ,” said McCoy, who was 6 of 12 for 54 yards. “You don’t like to see it how it happened today.”Houston went ahead for good on a 54-yard field goal by Ka’imi Fairbairn, who missed a 44-yarder earlier. The winning streak stayed alive when Redskins kicker Dustin Hopkins missed a 63-yard field-goal attempt with 3 seconds left.“We just have belief,” Watson said. “Everyone keeps fighting. No one is doubting each other. Regardless, we try to play complementary football, but when the offense needs the defense to help us out, they do that and vice-versa.”EMPTY SEATSEven though there were plenty of empty seats and a total attendance of 61,593 that was far below a sellout, Redskins cornerback Josh Norman called the crowd “electrifying.” Norman last week criticized fans for not having players’ backs at home and said the team plays better on the road.“What an atmosphere, right?” Norman said. “You guys came out and you showed up in a big way. We can’t be more proud and excited to be among you guys. … I applaud you all, for sure.”PETERSON’S UP AND DOWN DAYPeterson ran for two touchdowns to continue climbing the NFL rushing chart, but was bottled up on a lot of his other carries. Peterson’s 3- and 7-yard TD runs gave him 105 in his career and moved him past former Redskins star John Riggins into sole possession of sixth all time, one behind Jim Brown for fifth.Peterson finished with 51 yards on 16 carries.QUIET THOMASIn his second game with the Texans, Demaryius Thomas was a non-factor. Watson only threw his way twice — once on a play wiped out by a penalty — and the former Broncos receiver did not have a catch.Thomas stayed in Houston during the bye week in Houston to study the playbook and watch film after making a handful of newcomer mistakes in his debut. Thomas had three catches for 61 yards in that game, but disappeared from the offense Sunday.MR. RELEVANTWashington receiver Trey Quinn made a major impact in his return after missing more than two months with a high-ankle sprain. Quinn, who was “Mr. Irrelevant” caught four passes for 49 yards starting in place of injured wideout Jamison Crowder and would have been the emergency QB had McCoy gone down.INJURIESTexans: RG Zach Fulton left with a shoulder injury on the first drive, and LG Senio Kelemete left with an ankle injury in the second quarter. … CB Aaron Colvin missed his seventh game in a row with an ankle injury.Redskins: DL Jonathan Allen was evaluated for a concussion but returned. … Crowder missed his sixth consecutive game with an ankle injury, RB Chris Thompson his third consecutive game with injured ribs and LT Trent Williams his third consecutive game after surgery for a dislocated right thumb.UP NEXTTexans: Host the division rival Tennessee Titans on Monday, Nov. 26.Redskins: Visit the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day.

JACKSONVILLE Zach Gentry Jersey , Fla. (AP) —who requested a trade from the Jacksonville Jaguars following a loss at Houston on Sunday, is active and in the starting lineup against Tennessee.Coach Doug Marrone said Wednesday he was planning to play Ramsey, but there were some who questioned whether the franchise would hold him out with a potential trade on the horizon.Receiver C.J. Board, cornerback Breon Borders, running Devine Ozigbo, linebacker D.J. Alexander (hamstring), guard Brandon Thomas, tight end Josh Oliver (hamstring) and defensive tackle Dontavius Russell were Jacksonville’s inactives.Oliver and Alexander were ruled out Wednesday. The Titans will be without linebacker Wesley Woodyard (quadriceps) L.J. Collier Jersey , offensive lineman Kevin Pamphile (knee), running back David Fluellen (hamstring), offensive lineman Nate Davis, defensive lineman Matt Dickerson, defensive back Chris Milton (collarbone) and offensive lineman Hroniss Grasu.Pamphile, Fluellen and Milton were ruled out Wednesday. Woodyard was questionable. NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Marquise Brown knows too well the challenge of stretching $20 over a month to feed himself, with help from discounted meals at work and food from his junior college coach. Josh Jacobs had days when he ate only if he stole something.Brown put on about 10 pounds his first week at Oklahoma, and Jacobs gained about 30 at Alabama http://www.seahawksfootballauthentics.com/marquise-blair-jersey-authentic , helping turn him into a Southeastern Conference running back. It’s why the two likely first-round NFL draft picks happily helped volunteers fill 8,000 backpacks for hungry children Wednesday morning as part of a league initiative, Huddle Against Hunger. Both Brown and Jacobs know too well what the cans of soup, the cookies and chips mean to someone with an empty belly.“Especially being from my background and doing this type of lifestyle that I had and not knowing if I was going to eat certain days, it’s definitely dope just to be able to give back,” Jacobs said.Brown could have used one of those backpacks himself within just the past three years.“I had no food, I had nothing,” Brown said. “So just doing this I know the impact it has on someone’s life.”Growing up as the middle of five children with only his father around in Tulsa, Oklahoma D.K. Metcalf Jersey , Jacobs slept at times in cars and motels.“There’s been a lot of days I had to steal to eat,” Jacobs said. “So I mean just to be able to give back on that, especially with food, it’s huge. Something … a lot of people that we don’t really appreciate that much. But it’s definitely huge to be able to give back.”Brown was barely 140 pounds when he arrived at College of the Canyons in California needing to work on both his grades and add some weight. Junior college had to be paid for, and the native of Hollywood, Florida, also needed a place to live while trying to attract the attention of a Division I program.“So I had to get a job at Six Flags,” Brown said. “That was really to cover my rent. I had rent, and I had school to pay for. So that left me with about $20 for food. I mean http://www.seahawksfootballauthentics.com/cody-barton-jersey-authentic , you can’t really do much with $20.”Brown stretched that $20 going to Family Dollar and stocking up on ramen noodles, cereal and frozen food. He ate at Six Flags when working to take advantage of discounted meals for employees. His junior college coach also helped.“My head coach, he brought cereal in for me, different type of foods just so I could have a meal,” said Brown, who brought that coach to Nashville to enjoy the draft that begins Thursday night.Brown earned his way to Oklahoma, where he didn’t have to worry about food in 2017 and 2018. Now he’s listed at 166 pounds and still light enough that some question whether the 5-foot-9 receiver can survive a 16-game NFL season. His answer? Just wait.“Going to the NFL getting more time, getting more development with nutrition and in the weight room, I feel like I’m going to put my body in the best shape Gary Jennings Jr. Jersey ,” Brown said. The backpacks will be delivered Friday morning as the NFL kicked off its community programs celebrating its 100th season. The Tennessee Titans, who helped lure this year’s draft to Nashville, also donated $50,000 each Wednesday to Second Harvest and the Bridge Ministry.Hearing how many children deal with hunger was surreal for Jacobs. That only reinforced his desire to help feed people once he’s in the NFL.First, he’s hoping to celebrate Thursday night with his family for the next step of his journey.“It’s definitely dope to experience all this together,” Jacobs said. “Everything that we experienced growing up and to be able to be on this stage … where I can take care of them for the rest of my life and change the culture of my family, change the narrative, it’s definitely huge for me.”

On Sunday Jonah Williams Jersey , it’s time to put the pads on. And new Tampa Bay coach Bruce Arians is happy about that.“Football is not played in shorts and it’s not fair to the big guys,” Arians told reporters on Saturday. “So many guys look bad in shorts and then they put the pads on and they’re football players. That was kind of my message when we broke — I am looking for the football players that show up now, not the soccer players. There are a lot of guys who are great in shorts and then the noise level goes up and they kind of disappear. We are going to look for football players now.”And that’s Bruce Arians, folks. Great ready for plenty of additional quotes like it from the guy who retired in 2018 and who is back with a vengeance, putting his unique imprint on a team that has the talent but that needs the guidance and direction to get the most out of it. Arians, with his blunt, candid, authentic messages will get the Bucs to their maximize level of production http://www.bengalscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-drew-sample-jersey , whatever it may be. With all those millions of dollars promised to newcomers, NFL teams have been scrambling to get their ledgers in order as the new business year begins. While the likes of Drew Brees, Malcolm Butler and Andrew Norwell cash in bigtime, other stars either redo their deals or get released. On Wednesday, hours before the 4 p.m. official opening of free agency, Arizona released safety Tyrann Mathieu when it couldn’t rework his deal. On Tuesday, the Cardinals let running back Adrian Peterson go.Baltimore cut receiver Jeremy Maclin. But Carolina had more success with a veteran, completing a one-year deal with defensive end Julius Peppers. The 38-year-old Peppers Germaine Pratt Jersey , who contemplated retirement after 17 pro seasons, remains with the Panthers for $5 million, with $2.5 million guaranteed, a person familiar with the situation said. The person spoke to The Associated Press on Wednesday on condition of anonymity because the team does not release financial terms of contracts.Cleveland, meanwhile, did nothing more than listen to one of its greatest players, tackle Joe Thomas, announce his retirement. The Browns save his $10.3 million salary for 2018 and a $3 million bonus but lose their best player and leader in the expansion era (1999-present) http://www.bengalscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-ryan-finley-jersey , a 10-time Pro Bowler.“This was an extremely difficult decision, but the right one for me and my family,” Thomas said. “Playing in the NFL has taken a toll on my body and I can no longer physically compete at the level I need to.”CARDINALSMathieu was due for $18.75 million of his contract to be guaranteed when the league year officially begins. By cutting him, Arizona will save close to $5 million in cap space.Mathieu became a star in the Arizona secondary after being selected in the third round of the 2013 draft following a troubled college career at LSU. He was an All-Pro in 2015, when he had five interceptions and 17 passes defensed. But he also has been plagued by injuries and only last season did Mathieu appear in all 16 games.RAVENSBaltimore frees up an estimated $5 million in salary cap space by releasing Maclin, who signed on as a free agent in June. But Maclin missed two games with a shoulder injury, two more with knee issues, and finished with only 40 catches for 440 yards and three touchdowns. The 84 receptions he had over the past two seasons (2016 with Kansas City) are three fewer than he had with the Chiefs in 2015.GIANTSNew York agreed with offensive tackle Nate Solder Renell Wren Jersey , late of the Patriots, to become its starter on the left side. Solder, 29, will get a four-year contract worth about $62 million. The Giants can move 2015 first-round draft pick Ereck Flowers to the right side as they rebuild a line that has struggled for years.

Throughout the history of the NFL Andy Isabella Jersey , one thing has been clear: You can never judge by college stats. Too many times, guys who were true college stars and even Heisman Trophy winners just can't work at all in the pros. Meanwhile, guys who were forgettable turn out to be true stars. Never forget how Tom Brady went all the way down to the sixth round and even the Patriots had no idea of the incredible athlete he would become. This means that too often, a team can draft a QB who looks like the future of the franchise but turns into a mess.Hindsight is always 20/20. Just two years ago, the Rams drafting Jared Goff looked like a huge mistake. Today Clelin Ferrell Jersey , Goff has turned into a truly great QB who’s made the Rams serious contenders. One bad ailment can rock a promising player majorly and turn their dreams of stardom into dust. Yet, it’s obvious looking back how teams made the wrong choice with the QB to draft as a much better pick was right there waiting for them. Indeed, it can be argued how some players would have been much better fits for a different team and spark things up nicely. Here are 12 of the most notable QB busts since 2000 and the 12 guys those teams should have drafted instead that could have changed the fate of quite a few careers in the NFL. With three jobs filled, three others likely down to two candidates each, and two AFC East jobs seemingly still wide(r) open Josh Oliver Jersey , the Miami vacancy hasn’t gotten much attention. So where will owner Stephen Ross go?The Dolphins have interviewed Patriots linebackers coach (and defensive coordinator) Brian Flores, Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, Cowboys defensive backs coach/passing game coordinator (and defensive coordinator) Kris Richard, and Saints defensive coordinator Dennis Allen. There’s one name that continues to loom over the process: Ravens coach John Harbaugh. There’s a lingering belief that Ross will eventually throw his hands in the air and give Baltimore whatever it wants in order to get Harbaugh. So what would it take? Some have suggested that the Ravens want two first-round picks. That’s a high price to pay. Considering what Harbaugh could do for the Dolphins or any other team, it could be draft picks (and http://www.jacksonvillejaguarsteamonline.com/quincy-williams-ii-jersey , in turn, money) well spent.

A week before being released by the Packers Dexter Lawrence Jersey , Morrison was cited for interfering with a flight from Milwaukee to Las Vegas.Via Michael Cohen of TheAthletic.com, a flight attendant questioned passengers about the placement of a bag under a vacant seat. Morrison Deandre Baker Jersey , who later admitted that he placed his bag there because someone else had placed a bag under his seat, initially refused to acknowledge whether the bag was his.“F–k you Oshane Ximines Jersey ,” Morrison allegedly said. “You don’t own this plane. SPARTANBURG Khari Willis Jersey , S.C. (AP) and fibula during practice Monday at the team’s training camp at Wofford College. The team said Cockrell will need surgery, but has not said if he is expected to miss the remainder of the season. It is the second severe injury in three days for the Panthers, a team that went 11-5 last season and earned a wild-card spot.Carolina lost starting right tackle Daryl Williams on Saturday to a dislocated patella and torn medial collateral ligament in his right knee. The Panthers have not said if Williams will have surgery or if he will try to recover without it.Cockrell was injured when he collided with wide receiver Torrey Smith in the end zone while trying to break up a pass.Several teammates openly grimaced and quickly looked away after checking on Cockrell, clearly distraught at the sight of his leg. Several players began helping him onto the cart and tapped him on the shoulder pads while others took a knee and prayed before he left on a cart.Panthers coach Ron Rivera ended the practice session immediately after Cockrell’s injury.”Ross was doing some really good things,” Rivera said after practice, before it was announced the leg was broken.”He’s a wily veteran and a guy that has really done some really good things since he’s been here. It’s one of those things you have a guy who is going to contribute. It’s a tough one because he’s such a good person, too.”Cockrell signed a two-year, $6.8 million free agent contract this offseason and was expected to compete for a starting spot opposite James Bradberry. Now the Panthers are expected to turn to either rookie Donte Jackson or Kevon Seymour.Cockrell could be heard screaming ”leg is broke” after the collision.”To hear a grown man scream Josh Allen Jersey , you know it’s not good,” Jackson said.— The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are sticking with Ryan Fitzpatrick as their No. 1 quarterback.Coach Dirk Koetter said Monday that the 14th-year pro, who failed to produce a touchdown in the previous day’s 16-3 loss to Washington, will start next Sunday on the road against the New York Giants. The Bucs (3-6) have dropped six of seven games following a 2-0 start, with Fitzpatrick starting four of the losses after leading the team to surprising victories over New Orleans and Philadelphia while Jameis Winston was serving a suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.More Tampa Bay Buccaneers newsJameis Winston aims to realize potential under guidance of new Buccaneers coach Bruce AriansBuccaneers sign 5th overall selection LB Devin WhiteNdamukong Suh practices with Buccaneers for first time, dons customary No. 93 jerseyNdamukong Suh agrees to terms with Bucs, replaces 6-time Pro Bowler Gerald McCoyBuccaneers release 6-time Pro Bowl DT Gerald McCoy after nine seasons“We’re going to go with Fitz this week,” Koetter said http://www.jaguarsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-jawaan-taylor-jersey , adding he still feels Fitzpatrick “gives us the best opportunity” to win and pull out of a tailspin that’s jeopardized the prospects of ending a long playoff drought. Also, struggling kicker Chandler Catanzaro was waived.Catanzaro was one for three on field goals against the Redskins, missing from 30 and 47 yards. In addition to being 11 of 15 through nine games, the fifth-year pro who signed as a free agent after spending last season with the New York Jets has missed four extra points.Winston, banned the first three games of the season for touching a female Uber driver inappropriately in 2016, regained his starting job for three games before being benched three weeks ago.Koetter left open the possibility of switching back to Winston after the Bucs gained 501 yards, but only scored three points against the Redskins. Fitzpatrick threw for 406 yards, but was intercepted twice and lost a fumble.Washington finished with four takeaways Josh Oliver Jersey , while Tampa Bay failed to force a turnover for the sixth consecutive game.“Turnovers are killing us right now. We’re minus-19 (in turnover differential), last in the league,” Koetter said. “Thirteen turnovers and no takeaways in the last four games. That’s by far the No. 1 thing that’s hurting our team.”Winston hasn’t played since throwing four interceptions during the first three quarters of a road loss at Cincinnati on Oct. 28. The fourth-year player has thrown 10 picks and lost one fumble in four games since returning from his suspension.Koetter remains optimistic that the Bucs, who haven’t made the playoffs since 2007, can turn themselves around.Winston, the first overall pick from the 2015 draft, is due to earn $20.9 million next year in the final season of the contract he signed as a rookie.Koetter said he understands the thinking that the Bucs need to find out exactly what they have in the fourth-year pro.Nevertheless, he’s sticking with Fitzpatrick for now.“We’re barely past the halfway point in the season. There’s a lot of football to be played. I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility that we can turn this thing and get on a little bit of a win streak http://www.jaguarsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-quincy-williams-ii-jersey ,” Koetter said.“We’ve got to play better football more consistently across the board,” the coach added. “Our defense took a nice step in that direction (Sunday). I still think when we put it together on both sides of the ball we’ll be all right.”Fitzpatrick, 2-4 as the starter this season, has 2,199 yards, 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He’s turned the ball over five times the past two weeks during losses to Carolina and Washington. After Sunday’s game, the 35-year-old shrugged off a question about whether he felt he had done enough to retain the starting job.“I love playing football. That’s not something I concern myself with or care about,” said Fitzpatrick Ryquell Armstead Jersey , who’s played for seven teams over 14 seasons. “If I get a chance to go out there, I try to do my best and play as hard as I can and enjoy myself.”

Ziggy Ansah L.J. Collier Jersey , that is news to Bills General Manager Brandon Beane. Beane said on 1270 The Fan that the Bills remain interested and in the running for one of the handful of remaining free agents on PFT’s top-100.“I don’t know where it came from,” Beane said on the radio station, via Mike Rodak of ESPN. “Maybe it is fact. From the people I talked to that represent, they don’t see it as fact. Time will tell. . . . Certain people have been wrong more than they’re right, and I think it’s a poor job that they’ve done.”Beane said six weeks ago that the team remains “in contact” with Ansah after his visit to Buffalo. It doesn’t appear anything has changed since, despite an NFL Media report that the Seahawks have emerged as the favorites for Ansah.“We’re still in talks with him and his agent,” Beane said. “Everything has been very good. All I’ll say about reports [Seattle is emerging as favorite] is I don’t buy into that garbage http://www.seahawksauthorizedshops.com/authentic-marquise-blair-jersey , especially when I consider where some of the sourcing comes from.”Ansah, 29, played only seven games and had four sacks after the Lions used the franchise tag on him a year ago. He had shoulder surgery and the expectation has been that Dr. Neal ElAttrache will clear Ansah by mid-August.Ansah has played his entire six-year career in Detroit. He has had two seasons with more than 12 sacks. He also has drawn interest from the Ravens and Saints in free agency. PHOENIX (AP) — The Arizona Cardinals have hired former Texas Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury as their head coach, a move aimed at providing guidance for young quarterback Josh Rosen and resuscitating the worst offense in the NFL.The Cardinals announced the hiring Tuesday after a long interview earlier in the day, saying Kingsbury had agreed to terms on a four-year contract with a team option for a fifth. He was to be introduced at a news conference at the team’s training facility in Tempe on Wednesday.Kingsbury was fired after going 35-40 in six seasons at Texas Tech, but his teams were known for their high-scoring performances. His prized pupil in those days was current Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Tuesday’s hiring came barely a month after Kingsbury was hired as offensive coordinator at USC.Kingsbury, also a former offensive coordinator at Texas A&M where he worked with Johnny Manziel T.J. Hockenson Jersey , replaces Steve Wilks, who was fired after going an NFL-worst 3-13 in his one season in Arizona. That means Kingsbury will take over a team with the No. 1 overall draft pick, along with a bevy of other picks and lots of salary cap space. After a one-year experiment with a defense-oriented coach in Wilks, Cardinals president Michael Bidwill acknowledged he got that hire wrong and vowed to get this one right. The Cardinals hope the hire can match the magic that happened when Sean McVay was hired by the Los Angeles Rams.Arizona’s move is back to an offense-centered coach, a philosophy that worked well in the previous hire of Bruce Arians, who won 50 games in five seasons before retiring after the 2017 season. That retirement turned out to be short-lived: Arians was hired later Tuesday as coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.Bidwill’s latest choice is a risk, given that the 39-year-old Kingsbury has no NFL coaching experience and no record of success in terms of wins and losses at the college level. He does Jahlani Tavai Jersey , however, bring unquestioned knowledge of successful offenses and in working with young quarterbacks. Under Kingsbury’s tutelage, both Case Keenum and Mahomes led the nation in passing as college quarterbacks.“Yeah, I think he can be a great NFL coach,” Mahomes said Tuesday before the hiring was announced. “He has the work ethic. He has the passion for the game. I know that he loves the sport. So I know he’ll be able to relate to quarterbacks. He would put in the work and now it’s just about him finding where he needs to be at.”Kingsbury was let go after six seasons at Texas Tech and joined the USC staff as offensive coordinator on Dec. 5. His quick departure will leave the Trojans scrambling for a replacement.Kingsbury’s challenge now will be to build a staff. He particularly needs a strong coordinator for a defense that had its share of troubles last year trying to switch from a 3-4 to 4-3 scheme. The new coach inherits a team that finished last in the NFL in all major offensive categories last year. Rosen, who as a rookie took over as starter four games into the season, had an up-and-down year with no significant improvement.Playing behind a makeshift offensive line decimated by injuries Will Harris Jersey , he wound up last among quarterbacks who played regularly, completing 55 percent of his passes for 2,278 yards and 11 touchdowns with 14 intercepts and a 66.7 QB rating.Rosen, who was picked 10th overall in last year’s draft, is probably the No. 1 reason Kingsbury got the job.The Cardinals’ record last year was their worst in 18 years and matched the worst since the franchise moved to the desert from St. Louis in 1988.

Saturday Byron Murphy Jersey , but he’s not the only wideout dealing with an injury.John Ross sat out the first practice of training camp with hamstring tightness. Head coach Zac Taylor said that the team is not worried about a long-term absence for Ross and Geoff Hobson of the team’s website reports that he may not return to the field for a week or so.Ross has missed time with injuries during each of his first two seasons with the Bengals and has played in just 16 of the team’s last 32 games. That rocky start to his NFL career led to a lot of talk about starting fresh this offseason, including a number change that will have Ross wearing No. 11 after sporting No. 15 the last two years. It will be some time before we know if that change works out Andy Isabella Jersey , but the hamstring injury is an unpleasant reminder of what’s gone wrong in the past. J.J. Watt would like to see some defensive players get some love from MVP voters.Responding to Sam Farmer of the making the case for Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald being named the NFL’s Most Valuable Player, Watt wrote on Twitter that he thinks the voters are always going to select someone who plays offense.“See 2014 Zach Allen Jersey ,” Watt wrote. “It’s always been an offensive award. (or 2012).”In 2014, Watt got 13 out of 50 MVP votes Hakeem Butler Jersey , finishing a distant second to Aaron Rodgers in MVP voting. That’s the closest any defensive player has come to winning the Associated Press league MVP award since 1986, when Lawrence Taylor won it.The fact that Taylor won MVP shows that it hasn’t “always” been an offensive award Chris Lindstrom Jersey , as Watt said. Vikings defensive tackle Alan Page also won the award in 1971, and Washington kicker Mark Moseley won it in 1982. But those are the only defensive or special teams players to win the award in its 61-year history. In today’s NFL http://www.lionsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-jahlani-tavai-jersey , it’s hard to picture anyone other than a quarterback winning MVP. Even great ones like Watt and Donald.

Honest. It’s just sort of happening that way for the second-year Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Shareef Miller Jersey , whose six quarterback takedowns through the first five weeks of the season have him tied with Cincinnati defensive end Carlos Dunlap and Houston Texans star J.J. Watt — the oldest of the three Watt brothers in the NFL — for the league lead.“I can’t get caught up in any of the statistical things,” T.J. Watt said. “I’m sure my mom thinks it’s a lot cooler than I do.”Connie Watt’s not the only one. Steelers defensive coordinator Keith Butler is pretty impressed too, particularly with the way the 24-year-old Watt has assimilated so quickly. Then again, Butler knows Watt’s unique family dynamic played a role in his rapid adjustment to life in the NFL.“I think he’s kind of grown up in that atmosphere,” Butler said. “He had a good idea what it took to be successful in the NFL before we got him.”Watt racked up seven sacks as a rookie in 2017 and appears ready to take a leap forward in 2018. He opened his second season by getting three sacks in Cleveland and added three more in last week’s 41-17 dismantling of Atlanta Zach Brown Jersey , including a strip-sack of Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan that teammate L.J. Fort fell on in the end zone for a touchdown.“We just wanted to show who we really were,” Watt said. “We weren’t proud of the performances we put out in the first few showings of the season, and we just wanted to go out there and show what we’ve been working on for the past few weeks. We just want to show the consistency now.”That has been something unattainable for the Steelers (2-2-1) through a wildly uneven opening month. The two-time defending AFC North champions find themselves in an unusual spot heading into Sunday’s visit to Cincinnati (4-1), particularly on defense. Pittsburgh is 29th in yards allowed but also tops the NFL with 19 sacks, on pace to surpass the club record of 56 set a year ago.Coach Mike Tomlin downplayed the idea the Steelers are blitzing more this season to overcome shaky play by a revamped secondary. Maybe Devin Bush Jersey , but Butler is certainly not shy about sending players from all over.EightSteelers already have at least one sack. Fort picked up just the third of his six-year career against the Falcons and free-agent signee Jon Bostic’s 2 1-2 are a career high. Butler isn’t trying to read too much into his team’s success creating pressure, perhaps because it has been so spotty. The week before Pittsburgh’s pass rush harassed and harangued Ryan, it only brought down Baltimore’s Joe Flacco twice in 44 attempts as the Ravens pulled away in the second half.“Sometimes you’re lucky, sometimes you’re not,” Butler said. “Sometimes you’re good. Sometimes you’re bad.”Butler called the key to blitzing successfully a mixture of timing and disguise. Having the right people in the right places certainly helps. Pittsburgh overwhelmed the Falcons on the same day veteran cornerback Joe Haden shut down Atlanta star wide receiver Julio Jones. The Steelers also had nickelback Mike Hilton in the mix after he sat out the Baltimore loss with a right elbow injury. The 5-foot-9 Diontae Johnson Jersey , 184-pound Hilton has carved out a niche as an unlikely enforcer off the edge thanks in part to impeccable timing. Hilton has a preternatural ability to guess the snap count — he proudly points out he’s jumped offside just once in his career — and his quickness and aggressiveness give Butler another option.“I try to set the tone any way I can,” said Hilton, who had two quarterback hits against Atlanta. “I wouldn’t say guys look up to me, but they see how I play and they’re like, ‘He’s the smallest guy on the field and he’s playing physical and being aggressive.’ It just gives everybody the same energy.”The key for Pittsburgh is finding a way to sustain it. Watt’s play — massively successful one week Justin Layne Jersey , decidedly quiet the next — is symbolic of a unit still rounding into form. He isn’t worried about trying to keep pace with his big brother as much as he is trying to make sure he’s hardly the only one getting to the quarterback.“I don’t think anyone in this scheme is meant to eat up blocks,” Watt said. “We all have great opportunities. It’s awesome when those guys push the pocket. It allows the quarterback to step back and allows us to get a little wider rushes, and also get the quarterback in our hands.”And then — Watt and the Steelers hope — on the ground.NOTES: S Morgan Burnett (groin), LB Fort (ankle) and WR Darrius Heyward-Bey (ankle) did not practice and are unlikely to play against the Bengals. … S Terrell Edmunds (ankle) and LB Vince Williams (hamstring) were full participants for a second straight day. How did the Broncos decide they needed to move up to the 42nd overall pick to draft quarterback Drew Lock? It may have been related to the teams that owned the 43rd and 44th picks. The Lions had Pick 43 and the Packers had Pick 44, and both teams visited with Lock before the draft. The Broncos may have believed they had to get to 42 in order to take Lock.Detroit isn’t looking to move on from Matthew Stafford this year Benny Snell Jr. Jersey , and Green Bay isn’t looking to move on from Aaron Rodgers this year, but both teams may be looking to get younger and cheaper at quarterback sooner rather than later. Drafting Lock and observing him in practice for a year before deciding whether he’s ready could have been the plan.Instead, Lock will head into his rookie season as Joe Flacco‘s backup, and will see if he can prove himself worthy of being the Broncos’ quarterback of the future.

The trade sending Antonio Brown to the Raiders isn’t official yet Josh Oliver Jersey , but an agreement is in place for the wideout to land with a new team and sign a new contract when he gets there.make him the league’s highest-paid receiver was seen as the biggest obstacle to a deal with the Bills that was in play late last week. During a Sunday appearance on NFL Network, Brown’s agent Drew Rosenhaus said the Bills “decided it wasn’t a great fit for them” while talking to the Steelers and that the decision not to move forward didn’t come down to his client.“You know what, I don’t know that there was ever an option for us, quite frankly,” Rosenhaus said. “We never got in that position. It really wasn’t something that was up to us to decide. I don’t think the Steelers and the Bills were able to work something out.”Rosenhaus said Brown was happy about the “fresh start” he’s getting with the Raiders and cited head coach Jon Gruden and quarterback Derek Carr as reasons why he’s looking forward to the move. The $30 million in guaranteed money probably doesn’t hurt too much either. Devin McCourty was pleased that the New England Patriots defense didn’t have to play second fiddle to Tom Brady and Co. for once. With the Patriots leaning more on Stephen Gostkowski‘s leg than Brady’s arm against the Buffalo Bills on Monday night, McCourty stepped up and returned an interception 84 yards to secure a 25-6 victory.“The last couple of games it was our offense scoring and us trying to keep the team out. This was a game where they were moving the ball and couldn’t get into the end zone http://www.jaguarscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-quincy-williams-ii-jersey ,” McCourty said. “We had to make sure Buffalo didn’t get in the end zone, and once it cracked, we had to take advantage of it.”The interception proved to be the turning point in what had been a tightly contested game in which New England settled for four Gostkowski field goals, and after James White scored on a 1-yard to make it 18-6 with 9:58 left. The Bills responded with what was initially ruled a touchdown, when tight end Jason Croom appeared to make a diving, one-handed catch in the end zone. The 25-yard catch was negated when replays showed Croom never had possession. Two plays later Ryquell Armstead Jersey , McCourty jumped in front of Derek Anderson‘s attempt to hit tight end Charles Clay over the middle.“Those are bonus points. It’s hard to count on those,” Patriots coach Bill Belichick said. “It was a big play for us. They were driving in the red area and it turned it around.”Buffalo lost its third straight and dropped to 2-6 for its worst start since opening the 2010 season with eight losses. The Bills offense continued its anemic ways in being held to under 7 points for the fourth time this season — once more than that’s happened from 2013-17. Buffalo has scored just two touchdowns in its past five outings, a stretch in which it has been outscored by a margin of 116-37.Running back LeSean McCoy took the offense’s struggles personally. Though he had a team-best 82 yards receiving, McCoy finished with just 13 yards rushing and has yet to score this season.“I’m 30 years old. I’ve been playing since high school. This stuff has never happened to me. Yeah it’s tough,” he said. What hurts more is McCoy knowing how the offense has let down the defense.“It’s not fair to them,” he said. “I didn’t expect to have no season like this. I’m not really playing well at all. We’re not doing much on offense.”Credit the Bills’ defense for not playing the role of the expected pushover against a Brady-led offense that had scored 38 or more points in each of its past four games.“You come out and you hold those guys to one touchdown and still can’t get a win. It’s tough http://www.jaguarscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-gardner-minshew-ii-jersey , man,” Bills cornerback Tre’Davious White said.Stephen Hauschka accounted for the scoring by hitting field goals from 51 and 47 yards.“It’s clearly not good enough,” coach Sean McDermott said of his sputtering offense. “I thought the defense came out and played well at times. Offensively, we shot ourselves in the foot a little bit there, and just couldn’t get it going enough.”Anderson finished 22 of 39 for 290 yards and two interceptions. He was escorted off the field with 1:25 left when he was sacked by Kyle Van Noy. He was making his second start in place of rookie Josh Allen, who’s listed as week to week with a sprained elbow on his throwing arm.Brady finished 29 of 45 for 324 yards Marquise Brown Jersey , but was held without a touchdown pass for the first time this season.“They made it tough on us,” he said. “We couldn’t get anything going in the red zone, not enough positive plays down there.”Brady continued his string of career-long dominance over the Bills by improving to 29-3, extending the NFL record for most wins by a quarterback against one opponent. The Patriots beat Buffalo for the seventh straight time and improved to 32-5 in their last 37 meetings under coach Bill Belichick.HONORING THURMANThe highlight for Bills fans was a halftime ceremony in which the team retired Hall of Fame running back Thurman Thomas’ No. 34.He became the third player in Bills history to receive the honor. Jim Kelly had his No. 12 retired in 2001, and Bruce Smith’s No. 78 was retired in 2016.With the lights turned out at the sold-out stadium, highlights from Thomas’ Hall of Fame career were shown on the video scoreboard while two spotlights projected 34s onto the field. “When I look up and see the No. 34 retired under my name http://www.ravensfootballauthentics.com/jaylon-ferguson-jersey-authentic , I’ll be reminded that number doesn’t just belong to me,” Thomas said. “It belongs to the Bills fans everywhere.”PRYOR VISITThe receiver- and quarterback-needy Bills had free agent Terrelle Pryor in for a visit earlier in the day. Baltimore Ravens next season Ben Powers Jersey , and the team says it’s working on an extension beyond 2019.Harbaugh took over as Baltimore’s coach in 2008 and has taken the team to the playoffs six times, winning the Super Bowl in 2012.The Ravens didn’t reach the postseason in each of the past three years, however, and are striving to end that streak with two games left in the regular season.Regardless of how Baltimore (8-6) finishes, Harbaugh will be back to finish the final year of his current contract. In a statement Friday, the Ravens wrote: “John Harbaugh will continue as our head coach for the 2019 season, and he and we are working on an extension to his existing contract.”The 56-year-old Harbaugh has a 112-77 record with Baltimore, including 10-5 in the playoffs.Baltimore faces San Diego on Saturday night and wraps up the regular season at home against Cleveland on Dec. 30. The Ravens currently stand as the No. 6 seed in the AFC and trail Pittsburgh by a half-game in the AFC North. ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — John Elway is looking for his fourth head coach in six seasons after firing Vance Joseph for presiding over the Denver Broncos‘ worst two-year stretch since the late 1960s.Elway acknowledged being part of the problem in the Broncos’ 20-28 record since their Super Bowl 50 parade, including 11-21 under Joseph.“The first guy I look at is the guy in the mirror http://www.ravensfootballauthentics.com/iman-marshall-jersey-authentic ,” Elway said Monday. “And I’m just as responsible for this, if not more, than anybody else because it’s my job to make sure that we win more football games. And so I take full responsibility for that.”It was Joseph who took the fall, however, fired with two years and about $6 million left on his contract.“Vance is a good man. He worked his tail off,” Elway said. “And unfortunately, we didn’t get it done. We didn’t win enough football games and ultimately that’s what we have to do.”Elway almost fired Joseph last year after a 5-11 debacle but gave him a second chance. He got no similar reprieve after going 6-10.“It’s disappointing not being able to finish what we started, but I’m incredibly proud of the players and coaches for how they fought and worked every week,” Joseph said in a statement. “I also appreciate the support staffs who put in countless hours behind the scenes helping our team. This is a special place with great fans.”The Broncos immediately sought permission to interview Steelers offensive line coach and former Titans head coach Mike Munchak, Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio and Patriots defensive coordinator Brian Flores.Later Monday Trace McSorley Jersey , the Broncos added former Colts head coach Chuck Pagano, a native of Boulder, Colorado, to their wish list and also asked the Los Angeles Rams for permission to interview 35-year-old quarterbacks coach Zac Taylor.“I will continue to do the best I can, knowing we’re going to try to win football games. We’re going to compete for world championships,” Elway said. “That’s what I’m about. I hate to lose. I hate it more now than I ever have. And we’re going to do everything we can to get us back on track … and get us back to completing for world championships.”Elway said the franchise’s winningest coach, Mike Shanahan, whom he considered re-hiring a year ago, isn’t in the mix “at this point in time.” Nor is former Broncos assistant Adam Gase, who was fired by Miami Kyler Murray Jersey , on his wish list.Elway indicated that Gary Kubiak, his senior personnel adviser, might move back onto the field as an offensive assistant for the new coach. Kubiak stepped down two years ago over health concerns 11 months after leading the franchise to its third Super Bowl victory.Elway insisted the Broncos’ opening is just as attractive today as it was then, when Joseph called the opportunity the best in football because it required a reboot and not a rebuild.Yet the Broncos didn’t innovate as quickly as other teams that incorporated more of their prospects’ college DNA into their playbooks, like the AFC West rival Kansas City Chiefs with Patrick Mahomes and the Baltimore Ravens with Lamar Jackson.“I think we just haven’t evolved here,” star cornerback Chris Harris Jr. said. “I think after the Super Bowl we kind of just got stagnant. We haven’t evolved. We’ve got to figure out how we can evolve on offense, defense, special teams and everything, get better as players. We have to evolve with the times of the NFL. We’re behind right now.”The Broncos are mired in a three-year playoff drought. They lack a franchise quarterback like the ones the Packers, Browns and Jets have in place to help them lure their next head coach. They haven’t had a title sponsor for their stadium for several seasons. And they need a massive makeover to modernize a jalopy of an offense that sputtered behind free agent quarterback Case Keenum.Team president Joe Ellis insisted there was ownership stability even as a family feud has gone public with Pat Bowlen’s relatives haggling over the future of the franchise while the family patriarch http://www.cardinalsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-byron-murphy-jersey , who has Alzheimer’s, comes up for a possible Hall of Fame election Feb. 2.Then there’s Elway, a hands-on, high-standard GM with a Hall of Fame gold jacket who has little patience for losing, tried to hire Shanahan a year ago and didn’t cut Joseph any slack after trading away perennial Pro Bowlers Aqib Talib and Demaryius Thomas.“Vance was on board with every decision that we made. It wasn’t one where I was going off and saying, ‘We’re doing this,'” Elway said. “The decisions that were made were joint decisions, so we’ll leave it at that.”With Keenum at quarterback, the Broncos’ top selling point from a player perspective is probably the league’s top pass-rushing duo of Von Miller and Bradley Chubb, who combined for 26½ sacks.“I’d like to think that I’m a coach’s dream Andy Isabella Jersey ,” Miller said. “We’ve got a lot of big-time players here. We’ve got Bradley Chubb, who’s coming into his second year. Denver’s a great city. Denver’s a great place to come coach. It’s a great franchise to be a part of, known for winning and all types of wonderful stuff.“So, I think the Denver Broncos organization will be the main attraction for the next head coach.”Elway concurred, suggesting, “People may disagree, but we’re not that far off.”

Burfict Dexter Williams Jersey , who went from undrafted in 2012 to becoming a cornerstone of the Bengals defense, has been released, per multiple reports.Signed by former Bengals coach Marvin Lewis, Burfict’s hard-nosed style resulted in plenty of penalties, fines, and suspensions. He was due to make $5 million this year in base salary, with up to $2.25 million in per-game roster bonuses. The Bengals will absorb a $1.8 million cap charge by releasing him.Burfict was suspended four games in 2018 for violation the league’s PED policy. He was suspended six prior games for violations of player-safety rules, and fined many thousands of dollars. Most recently, he was fined $112,000 for multiple violations in a 2018 game against the Steelers. In all, Burfict appeared in 75 regular-season games, with 73 starts. Still only 28 Max Scharping Jersey , Burfict’s career likely will continue, somewhere. METAIRIE, La. (AP) — Former Florida safety Chauncey Gardner-Johnson completed all of two rookie minicamp practices when Saints secondary coach Aaron Glenn predicted that defensive coordinator Dennis Allen would find a way to carve out playing time for New Orleans’ fourth-round draft choice.“It’s limitless what this player can do,” Glenn said Saturday. “We’re just excited to have him and I’m sure DA’s going to make schemes to be able to use this player, to make sure his versatility is used out there.”So much for tempering expectations for a player who hasn’t even practiced against Saints veterans yet.“He does have the speed and the mentality to go out there and play corner, but he can play nickel, he can play in the box, he can play deep safety, so you have fun with players like that,” Glenn said. “I’m excited to see what all we can do with him. And plus, he has the mental capacity to be able to take all that information in and apply it right to the field.”The Saints, who entered the 2019 NFL draft without a fourth-round pick http://www.texansauthorizedshops.com/authentic-kahale-warring-jersey , traded up 11 spots to take the 5-foot-11, 210-pound Gardner-Johnson, who played both nickel back and safety at Florida. He intercepted nine passes for the Gators, returning three for touchdowns. Four of his interceptions — and two of his TD returns — came last season, when he also had three sacks, nine tackles for losses, two pass breakups and finished with a total of 71 tackles.During practice Saturday, Gardner-Johnson intercepted one pass and tipped another that wound up being intercepted by fellow rookie safety Saquon Hampton, a sixth-rounder out of Rutgers who was the Saints’ third overall draft choice.“It’s just exciting to know you’ve got a good player that you had rated high that’s on your team,” Glenn said. “So with (Gardner-Johnson) and Saquon, it was the same thing with both of those guys.”New Orleans already has two veteran starting safeties coming back — fourth-year pro Vonn Bell on the strong side and third-year player Marcus Williams playing deep. But the Saints have been known to employ three-safety alignments and there was not a lot of depth in that position group following the release of Kurt Coleman this offseason.Gardner-Johnson stopped short of predicting a prominent role for himself as a rookie, but didn’t sell himself short Cullen Gillaspia Jersey , either.“I could play immediately, but that’s on me,” he said. “I’m just ready to get out there, have fun and make an impression.“I’m not really worried about where I’m at out there on the field, or what position,” he added. “I’m just ready to go out there and play football.”While Gardner-Johnson was gratified the Saints traded up to select him, he called that “one minor step to something better.”Glenn said the Saints sought to “stress” Gardner-Johnson during Saturday’s practice by giving him a variety of defensive back assignments on the defense, including nickel back, safety in the base defense and safety in passing situations that employed more than four defensive backs.“He’s smart, and he’s quickly picked up the installation,” Saints head coach Sean Payton noted. “You can see he’s versatile. I think he can play over the slot in the nickel role, and also as a safety.”For most of Gardner-Johnson’s Florida career Tytus Howard Jersey , his last name was Gardner. He changed it before his senior season to honor his step-father, Brian Johnson, who had been in his life since he was about 3-years-old.“He ain’t missed a game,” Gardner-Johnson said. “He’s always been in my life. … My dad’s a basketball guy, but whatever I loved, he loved. Wherever I was at, he was at.”Gardner-Johnson also has considerable history with Glenn. They met when Glenn was helping out at an “Opening” football camp for high school standouts in Oregon. Glenn recalled that Gardner-Johnson sometimes challenged instructors who criticized him, but not in a disrespectful way.“When we butted heads, I thought that was cool that he stood up for himself,” Glenn said, adding that he kept in touch with Gardner-Johnson during his college career. “I’d always text him. It was funny how these things come around. You know, the world is round Rock Ya-Sin Jersey , man, and he ended up coming to us. So, it’s a good deal.”Notes: Payton said he has not heard from NFL headquarters regarding possible disciplinary action against defensive tackle David Onyemata, who received a misdemeanor marijuana citation early this offseason. Onyemata could be suspended up to four games, but Payton said, “I don’t know that that’s going to happen,” and added that the Saints are preparing for the season as if Onyemata won’t miss any action.

There might have been some phone calls Ugo Amadi Jersey , but Bills General Manager Brandon Beane said the suggestion that the Bills were close to trading up last night. And they didn’t consider trading down, when Ed Oliver fell into their laps.According to Jay Skurski of the , up were overblown.“Yeah, as we always do, there was a lot of exploring in front of us, some of it you’re also trying to figure out what people are going to do Dwayne Haskins Jersey ,” Beane said. “That report was played up much higher than it was. There was never any exchange of compensation or anything like that. That’s when, to me, you’re getting serious on a trade if you start talking parameters of what it’s going to take to move up and move back.”There were reports the Jets spoke with the Bills and Raiders while on the clock with the third pick, but they sat tight and took defensive tackle Quinnen Williams.Beane said there were chances to move down (and Pittsburgh trading up to 10th to get linebacker Devin Bush indicates that’s true), but the chance to add Oliver was too good to risk moving down.“I realized really this week that nine was going to be a very valuable spot,” Beane said. “Denver could have potentially been in the market for a quarterback David Long Jersey , I think right after we picked Pittsburgh traded up. There was a lot of action either way that you could’ve done, but we were set that if there was a guy there that we felt worthy of the pick, that we were going to take that and not chance losing him.”Beane said there was some concern about Detroit trading the eighth pick to someone who might have wanted to take the Houston defensive tackle, but when the Lions held fast and drafted T.J. Hockenson, they were able to secure a guy who could be an immediate difference-maker for their line. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The Jacksonville Jaguars will be without Pro Bowl cornerback A.J. I’m just trying to fill in and do my job until he gets back healthy and everything like that. I have to step in and do what I have to do. I’m just preparing like I would all the time. I’ve worked my whole life for this.”Meeks is the son of former Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator Ron Meeks, who coached in the NFL between 1991 and 2012.

They signed free-agent wide receiver Rishard Matthews Nick Bosa Jersey , who was released by Tennessee last month after requesting the move because he felt he was being underused. He had three catches for 11 yards in three games. The Jets were short-handed at receiver because Quincy Enunwa, who has a team-leading 22 catches, is out a few weeks with a sprained ankle. Terrelle Pryor was also released last Saturday with an injury settlement because of a groin tear.To make room for Matthews on the roster Tuesday, New York placed safety Doug Middleton on injured reserve after he tore a pectoral muscle Sunday in the Jets’ game against Minnesota. The 29-year-old Matthews signed a one-year contract extension with the Titans in August after leading them with 1,740 yards receiving and 13 touchdowns combined over the past two seasons. He missed organized team activities, minicamp in June, training camp and Tennessee’s first three preseason games with an undisclosed injury before being activated from the physically unable to perform list before the regular season. But he didn’t like how he was being used in new coordinator Matt LaFleur’s offense and asked to be released or traded. Tennessee granted his request by cutting him when it couldn’t deal him.He has 228 catches for 3 L.J. He spent his first four NFL seasons with the Dolphins before signing a three-year deal with Tennessee in 2016.Matthews, who comes from a military family, stayed in the tunnel during the playing of the national anthem during some games last season. He stood on the sideline for the final preseason game this summer and did the same during the three games he was with Tennessee. The Jets have had no players display any protests the past two seasons, with the players, coaches and owner standing together with their arms interlocked.Middleton started a career-high four games this season, making 27 tackles along with three passes defensed. It’s another tough break for Middleton http://www.seahawksauthorizedshops.com/authentic-marquise-blair-jersey , who tore a pectoral last summer during training camp and missed the regular season. He went home to North Carolina to rehabilitate the injury and used the time to earn his master’s degree in public administration from Appalachian State. He was playing in place of the injured Marcus Maye, who is sidelined with a broken thumb. The Jets are short-handed at the safety spot with Jamal Adams and Terrence Brooks the only healthy players at the position.Rontez Miles remains on the physically unable to perform list after injuring a knee in the offseason. New York also has Brandon Bryant on the practice squad. The Buffalo Bills are going with newly signed journeyman Matt Barkley as their starting quarterback, rather than provide turnover-prone Nathan Peterman another chance. The Bills ruled out injured rookie Josh Allen on Saturday and announced Barkley is expected to start against the New York Jets on Sunday. Barkley gets the nod ahead of Peterman despite having just two weeks of practice experience since signing Oct. 30.Barkley will become the fourth quarterback to start for the team this season, and third in three weeks. They also promoted receiver Robert Foster from the practice squad and released linebacker Ramon Humber.Buffalo (2-7) has lost four straight and is off to its worst start since losing eight of its first nine games in 2010.The game between the two AFC East teams will feature a matchup of backups rather than first-round picks. The Jets (3-6) are starting 39-year-old Josh McCown with rookie Sam Darnold sidelined by a strained right foot. Darnold was drafted third overall, four spots ahead of Allen.Barkley is on his sixth team in six seasons since being selected by Philadelphia in the fourth round of the 2013 draft. Hockenson Jersey , I think I’m in a great spot right now.”Overall, Barkley has gone 159 for 266 for 1,911 yards passing with eight touchdowns and 18 interceptions in 11 NFL appearances. That’s much better than Peterman’s production since being selected in the fifth round of the 2017 draft.Peterman has thrown seven interceptions in four appearances this season, including three in a 41-9 loss to Chicago last weekend. Overall, he’s thrown 12 interceptions in eight appearances and is best remembered for getting picked off five times in the first half of a 54-24 loss at the Los Angeles Chargers a year ago.The Bills offense has struggled no matter who’s started this season.Buffalo has scored a league-worst 96 points and just two touchdowns in its past four games. The quarterbacks have combined for just three touchdowns passing and 16 interceptions, including five by Allen.
